Representing Chaos in the metaphysical trinity, Marauders are an awesome and terrifying power to behold.

A Marauder is caused by an accident or catastrophic event in which an Awakened Avatar is driven insane.
The unfortunate mortal vessel that houses this Avatar is likewise driven insane, and is typically consumed in the whims of the Avatar (and often, eventually in a large ball of fire.)

Marauders are not limited by sane concepts like Sphere levels, and are mechanically able to break the rules that all other makes live by.
In addition to this, Marauders have a resistance to Paradox, causing it’s affects to reflect onto other nearby enlightened Mages.

Of course, despite all the power they hold, Marauders are plagued by Quiet and as time goes on and they get worse and worse, reality will at some point be unable to sustain them.

All Marauders are destined to end in a catastrophe at some point. It is a mercy that most of them tumble into Paradox Realms before being slain by forces such as the Technocracy or just pure, unadulterated violence because the deranged Avatar of a Marauder is able to reincarnate into a new Sleeper just as any other Avatar, thus continuing the cycle of madness and destruction.
